Sa Punta, the Balearic gastronomic paradise

There are trends that are fleeting, seasonal. And then there are trends that have emerged to stay and become a part of our lives. This is what has happened with Sa Punta, a restaurant located in Port Verd, a small cove near Cala Bona, which has already become one of the culinary reference points in Mallorca.

Its success has been cooked up with a recipe crafted from the finest ingredients: an idyllic seaside location, traditional Mediterranean cuisine, top-quality local products, and an award-winning chef. The result? A top-notch gastronomic experience that continues to enchant both locals and diners from various corners of the world.

While the location is important (essential, even!), a significant part of Sa Punta’s popularity has been attributed to a kitchen team that delights diners daily with their excellent preparation of the region’s best meats and fresh fish and seafood from the Mallorcan Levante.

The “love at first sight” that customers feel for Sa Punta’s location often happens while browsing through photos and videos of the restaurant online or exploring Instagram posts. However, the real infatuation occurs with the initial impact of passing through its doors and feeling the sea breeze. This sentiment is just the tip of the iceberg, or rather, the cherry on top. Lauren from the UK confirms this, one of the 700 people who have expressed their admiration through comments on TripAdvisor: “We recently dined at Sa Punta for my boyfriend’s birthday, and we were blown away by the entire experience. The food was incredible—I have to recommend the chateaubriand! The place is beautifully decorated with a relaxed atmosphere. And the staff was wonderful. Keith, in particular, made us feel very welcome, and his attention to detail is unmatched. The highlight of our trip!”

Apart from the gastronomic experience, it’s not uncommon to find a Balearic tennis personality at the table next to you, as confirmed on TripAdvisor by Jojo, a tourist from Dubai: “My friend and I have been doing an adult tennis program at the Rafa Nadal Academy and have visited Sa Punta several times. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food is amazing! The restaurant is warm, cozy, and family-friendly. We really enjoyed the truffle omelette, and the fish is fresh and prepared perfectly. Last year we were lucky to dine next to Rafa and his entire family celebrating his grandmother’s birthday. Last night we enjoyed a visit from Rafa’s father. I highly recommend this restaurant—don’t miss it if you’re in Manacor!”

Sa Punta, which has also established itself as an ideal venue for events, became the idyllic setting in which Pilar and Tomás decided to celebrate their wedding. “It’s a day we will never forget.” And that’s precisely Sa Punta’s goal: for every diner to take away a unique memory, an unforgettable experience by the beautiful waters that grace one of the finest culinary coves in all of Mallorca.
